Filing GC while in L1b status before max out

I am currently in L1B status. My L1B max out date is dec’2014. And current L1 expiry date is April’14.

My employer is filing GC in EB3 category. Once I get labour approved, can I renew my L1 any number of times?

No, you cannot. Unlike H-1, L-1 cannot be extended beyond 5 years even if the person has pending PERM/I-140.
