My husband whose Visa status is H4 , had applied for his F1 in Jul 2014. He received an “RFE” on Nov 2014 and he had submitted all the required docs . Within a week or two, USCIS site showed “Response to USCIS request for evidence was received” and the status has not changed till date(6-Mar-2015). We have raised 2 service tickets asking for status one in January and other in February. There has been no change! Have any of you gone through the same situation? Does any of you have any idea how much longer my husband has to wait?
Well, USCIS sometimes can take time as there is no specific deadline for them to adjudicate the same. For H1B processing, I have seen cases that have took over 8 months as well. Your case is different and should not take that much time. I suggest you setup an Infopass Appointment with USCIS and go over your case, maybe they can help you.

Sure, Infopass seems the way to go. I suggest you explain the officer regarding your status concerns during transition rather than the application status.
