I have a masters in clinical research and 1 year work experience in India. Last year in 2013, I had applied for H1B visa from India, but my petition didn’t get picked in the lottery. So, In january 2014, I came to the US on F1 visa for an IMBA course. Currently, I’m doing my first term course. My question here is…Can I apply for H1B visa for fiscal year 2015, in the month of april, 2014? As I will be only 3 months old on F1 status and not possess CPT or OPT by the month of april, 2014, Will I still be able to apply for H1B petition for fiscal year 2015?
If Yes, Kindly help me with the procedural steps to file for H1B visa in April, 2014.
If No, Please let me know when can I next apply for H1B visa.
I understand that it is a little complicated situation, Hence I’m here to seek help and advice from you guys.
