Embassy did not ask for original I-797 while issuing pink slip

Hi

I went for an interview for H1-B visa and was issued the pink slip. They kept my passport and a copy of my I-797, but not the original. What does that mean? What are my chances? I finished my undergraduate from a top university in the US and my employer is a certified company. They only asked me about my job title and description and what the employer does, nothing about past travels etc.

Thanks a lot

Manya

When mine was approved, they took my original i797
But when i received my passport from VFS, i received the original i797 that went with PP and also the the consulate interview appointment letter and the DS-160 confirmation that i gave.
In simple words, they dont need anything, as they say “Administrative Processing”, they dont need anything from you, they will do the checks from their database.
Hold your nerves and wait for the good news if your employer and your side is all good and supporting for the job offered.
