Due to this Corona Virus Global situation, will an extension be granted to travelers not being able to travel in order to complete the Permanent Resident Application?

My father was planning on traveling to the US tomorrow in orde to complete the required re-entry step in the process for his approved Permanent Resident Visa. But this evening, the govenrment was suspended all travel which will not allow my father the opportunity to travel and re-entry before the 6 month requirement.

Is there any course of action he can take?

What can we do?

Who can we contact?

Truly lost on this issue.

This is all very new for everyone but I am confident that accommodation will be made under the circumstances. An official document that verifies why your father was not able to travel will be helpful - this might be a bulletin, an airline directive or an emmigration (utpravaas) announcement. The document can be used later when he plans to travel under better circumstances.
