Dropbox stamping-New petition

Hello,

I moved out of US in Dec 2017 and lived in India ever since. However, my visa stamp was valid till Aug 2020. In Jan 2021, I got a new job offer (full-time) and my new h1b petition is approved until 2024. I was able to get a dropbox appointment as I meet the eligibility criteria.

Please could you clarify if my case is subjected to current travel ban as it is a new job and petition? Or dropbox eligibility by default exempts you from travel ban?

You submit the case as drop box. Let consulate decide.Normally consulate stamps exemption. If it does not , you still have valid visa to travel later. Or consulate may give 221 g. In any case submit the case as you have already paid the fees.
