Yes, REAL ID is very common thing to get…Yes, H1B visa holders can get it too…process is like normal for everyone else. Also, do share your experience in your state once you get it for community benefit.
Hello, for the ones who already have a driving experience (eg a foreign DL from India) and who just need to “get on the ropes” how to drive a bit more organized than at home 
…to be able to pass the practical drivers test here in the US, there is a guy in Houston, TX who provides cheap private driving lessons. He will train you in what the examiners are looking for and as well as things such as parallel parking. He doesn’t provide certifications, so you will still have to take and pass the official driving exam at the DMV ($25), but he’ll prepare you for it and its much cheaper than paying 100s of dollars going to a driving school.
