Hello friends,

I have applied for H4 to H1 for this year 2014. My employer has told me receipt no, but I have no other proof or document that he has filed for me, I m just checking status online, but there you can’t see your name, mine is in regular so I also want to upgrade my employer saying me to wait.

I don’t know which documents I should get from my employer for safely completing the process of h1b visa.

Ask him for a copy of 797C (this is what USCIS sends to employer for receipt number). It should have your name.
