Currently in India on vacation and passport expiring in 7months

Hi

Currently I’m in India on vacation and my return ticket is on 2nd Jan 2018. I forgot to carry some documents required for passport renewal. Am I eligible to travel, my passport and visa both are expiring on 25th July 2018.

Can I renew my passport once I will go back to US after vacation.

You can travel back without problem - always renew passport at India consulate in the US, it should be done in India only when completely unavoidable
