Hi,
I got H1B visa last year and my employer is the same consultant who processed our visa.Currently,am working as a contractor for a client through middle vendor and my employer.Our GC processing also should start soon.During the H1B process,I got RFE and it was done by the employer’s( the consultant’s) attorney.So,I don’t have any documents with me which were sent for RFE during visa processing .My questions are:-
1)If my present employer starts GC process now, can I join another company as full time employee who is willing to process GC or will I have to start the GC process all over again with them?Also,will new company be able to arrange/process documents in case of a GC RFE then?
2)If my employer starts my GC process,is it mandatory that I should stay with the same consultancy until I get GC? Do consultancies normally charge a fee for processing GC since they are my employer too?
- I had moved from L1B to H1B and I don’t have the relieving letter from my previous Indian company yet with whom I was on L1 but ,I have all the pay slips.Is relieving letter normally important during GC process?
