Company name change while H-1 is still in process

Hi,

 My H-1B(new) was applied in April 2012 &amp; is still in process. Now, my company has changed its name to accomodate a new business (everything else is the same - just a name change) - a new Fed Employer Identification Number (EIN) has been issued &amp; all the current assets have been transferred to the new company. Does this affect my H1B processing? Do I need to take any action regarding this, in order to ensure a smooth processing - like notifyng USCIS of the name change??

I think your employer should file an amendment request for your petition. Please check with a good immigration attorney.
