Change of Status- H1B to L2- where to go for visa stamping

Hello

I have a valid H1B visa and have applied for a COS to L2 with USCIS in Jan first week 2014. I am awaiting the decision but also had a question on where can I go to get L2 stamped if I will be travellng to neighbouring countries outside of USA. I would be needing a L2 visa on re-entry back to USA.

Please advice.

It is recommended to go to home country as this is your first L-2 visa stamping.
