My comany might apply for L1A shortly based on my seniority and project requirement… also I am applying for h1B with the same company in the 2015-2016 bucket. Is is possible? Also can I apply for 1 more H1B with some other consultancy (To have more chances of selection if there is lottery again)? Please answer . thank you!
Yes, there is no problem what so ever. If you enter in US on L1 before they apply H1, then they may apply with COS (chagne of status) so your status will change in US itself; however if they apply H1 for consular processing, then you have to go out of US for stamping and then you may be able to come back in H1 status - but if you don’t go for stamping, then you may continue in L1 while you are in US.
