Can I continue my 2 jobs in my opt even the h1b got approved? Ho early I should resign if have to leave the job. Becoz still my opt is valid and I would like to continue my second job. Thanks
If your H-1 is approved w/ COS, then your status will become H-1 from the COS approval date and your OPT will no longer be valid. Your SEVIS record will also be updated from that date. So you need to stop working on OPT from COS approval date and start working on H-1.
Do not go by what’s printed on your OPT card as the SEVIS record would have been closed in the background w/ H-1 COS approval. Also, let your school know about the H-1 approval w/ COS.
