Can I work for another employer after my labor filing is approved ?

Hi
I am currently holding a L1B visa for my current employer A. They will file my labor soon. Let’s say if my Labour through my current employer(A) is approved, can I work for a new employer? What is the right time to shift to a new employer, after my labor is approved ?
Do i need to have a h1 visa before shifting to a new employer? Waiting for your response with fingers crossed…

You cannot change employers on L-1. To work for another employer you need H-1.

When your EAD gets approved as part of GC process, then you can move to another employer, but check w/ employer as I am not sure about L-1 holders.
