Can I travel to India During H1B Extension is in Progress?

Hi,

I am Staying on H1B and my Visa is getting over on 01st April 2014, I have also applied for Visa Extension in Premium.

Now my question is I am planning to travel to India on 25th of March, hoping to get my approval before that. worstcase if my approval for my extension doesnt happen beofre 25th is it recommanded to travel to india?

If your I-94 is getting expired on the same date as visa, departure is required. However if I-94 is valid longer, it might be a good idea to wait for premium process to complete.

Hi thanks for the response. My I 94 ends on same date as visa end date. So I am planning to leave on 25th of this month. Just want to make sure that my departure won’t affect my premium extension process?
