can i switch job during H1 visa extension process?

Hi,

I have filed for H1 visa extension in Sep. 2015 and m still awaiting result. I want to change job. Is it possible to change job during visa extension process ? Can other employer file for my visa + GC during this no status period? If yes, What is the process?

Is your I-94 expired? If yes, then it is better to wait for extension approval and then apply for transfer. New employer’s petition will not be approved with I-94 unless you have an unexpired I-94. This means you cannot work for them until you enter us with their petition to get valid I-94.
