Can i get my Mother's passport renewed from Kerala instead of the original place of issue(Bareilly)?

My mother is 77yrs old and requires renewal of Passport. I am the wife of a Service Officer and my mother presently resides with me in Kerala. Her Passport had been issued in Bareilly. Can I get her passport renewed from Kerala?

There might be a delay because two CID investigations will be launched, one in Bareilly and the other in Kerala to verify your mother’s actual residency. I suggest filing in Kerala with an age waiver request as to not inconvenience a senior citizen.

I had the same case. My Spouse’s Passport was issued in Bareilly, UP and he applied for renewal in Bangalore, and it took near about a month to get his new renewed Passport.
