Can I attend the H1B visa interview without NIE letter from Malaysia

Hi, Can I attend the H1B visa interview without NIE letter in US Embassy, Malaysia. I am an Indian national working in Malaysia with Employment Pass. I have already book the appointment. Incase NIE letter is required, can I directly apply before interview date or Employer need apply the NIE letter.

Please advice me on the above case. Thanks.

I don’t think you need NIE as Malaysia do not fall under PP.

Thanks Kalpesh Dalwadi. Incase If I want travel from India after approval. still NIE is not required right.

If you are present in India for more than 14 days preceding the entry to the US, you will need NIE. US will be allowing fully vaccinated (WHO approved) travellers from November onwards including from India.
