Can I apply for L2 Visa while my H1B visa is in process?

My wife has a valid L1B visa and my H1B visa has been Applied for Status(“Inititial Review”), Can I apply for Depenendant (L2) VISA? If yes will it affect my H1B visa process ? Please advise …

Wait for some time until the decision is made on your H1B. Then you can look for the alternate. Some cases some messup is happening regarding the dependent/H1.
