Can i apply for ead while being on b1

I want to travel to US during may on b1… I have a l2 until Oct 2016. Will i get my b1??..My husband is in US… Can I apply for EAD in may when I go there in b1?.. We will be staying for long term

You cannot apply for EAD on B-1.

If you have L-2 visa stamped and husband is in US on L-1, then why don’t you travel on that visa stamp? B-1 visa stamp may be difficult as your spouse is in US.
