Can approved expired petition can be transferred?

Hi Team,

I have situation, please share your response.

My H1B was filed in April 2018 and got an RFE in December 2018 and we replied and got a approval in June 2019. Unfortunately, my SOW was only between 01-Jan-2018 to 31-Dec-2018. So petition was approved for the period 01-Oct-2018 to 31-Dec-2018.

–> Now petition is in expired status, what are the options for me now, please suggest?

–> Can USCIS revoke a expired petition?

–> Can I now change project/client name with-in my company?

–> Can I transfer my employer, when petition is expired?

If you had H1B status in the past by either H1B stamping or working in US, then you can transfer your H1B to another employer. Also, you could consider filing for H1B extension, by working with your previous employer, who filed your H1B. Yes, transfer is possible, even if your petition is expired, provided you had H1B status at least once…In the past, it was ok, now USCIS looks closely if the user had H1B status in the past. Discuss with your current H1B sponsor’s Attorney on the options.
