Applying for h1b while OPT Extension Request is Pending

Hi ,

I applied for My OPT 24 Months STEM Extension Request. in Jan 12th. My document is currently Pending and i expect my EAD card to be received in Mid April.In the meantime,Is it possible for me to apply H1b Visa before April 1st without EAD Card in hand.

Yes, you can apply for H1B visa on April 1st. You will need to submit your current valid F1 status documents like the I20, OPT application extension request, Transcripts, etc.

“OPT application extension request” means initial Notice Given by USCIS for receiving the documents ?
