Hello
I am Mechanical engg with PhD in mechanical engg from OSU. I have one journal publication and 1 under review. I am reviewer for 3 journals and one conference. So far I have reviewed 6 papers.
I studied master at IIT, also I was exchange student at German University.I have 2 years of work experience in India
and crrently I am working in automobile industry in Michigan.
Do you think, it is worth putting in effort to apply for NIW in Outstanding reseachers category.
Thanks
Yes, it is very much worthwhile and you will succeed. Rely only on yourself to prepare the NIW documentation, a lawyer cannot do justice to your achievements. Your national merit storyline should explain how your expertise will help a struggling automobile industry and the Stateof Michigan etc etc. It is not the number of publications but the national relevance of publication that sets your case.
Best wishes

Hi Dr. Shankar,
I have a similar question. I plan to pursue a Phd in human factors from GMU or USD or Gatech. Can you elaborate more on the NIW ?
After PhD, I can work in academia or industry as a user experience researcher.
I can work in medical human factors, tech human factors or even safety and human factors.
If eventually, I want to get a green card, what will be the most efficient way ?
Thank you in advance Sir. Your advice is important to me.
