Apply H1b visa while holding H4 visa

Currently I am in USA on H4 visa. I want to work here. So I need a procedure to acquire H1 visa. How I can get H1b visa while holding H4 visa? Anyone knows any consultancy who can apply visa for me and give option of work from Home?

Also want to know can I get H1 visa stamped without going to India??

You need to find an employer and have them file H-1 for you w/ COS. Once approved, you can start working on H-1 from COS effective date.

The next date to file H-1 is April 1, 2014; and work start date is Oct 1, 2014
