I have applied for H1B after being on H4 for 4 years. I have worked for 4 years in India before that. I got selected in the lottery and my status is still in initial review. My question is does it really affect my approval decision because i took a long break. I understand that it’s very subjective but do any of you know H4 to H1 after a long time on H4.
As long as you qualify for the offered position, it should be fine. USCIS is not concerned about the long break. However, your potential employers and/or clients may be concerned about this.
