Adding Spouse name in Passport

Dear Team,

Me and my wife have H1-B and H4 Visa stamped in our passport respectively. We had twin kids recently. I will be travelling to US in couple of weeks. Since we will be applying passport for my kids when I am there in the US, Please clarify my below questions,

Is it ok to add/update Spouse name in my wife’s passport alone and the apply for kid’s passports (or) should my passport also be re-applied to be added with my wife’s name (since I will be in US this time)

What will happen to my wife’s H4 visa which is already stamped in the old passport, since she will be issued with new passport while re-applying for updating spouse name

Please clarify the above questions at your earliest…

Here is answer -

  1. Inclusion of spouce name in anyone passport will be more than sufficinet

  2. Her visa willl be still old. She needs to carry both passports…
