221(g) green slip from Melbourne Consulate

Hi All,

Today i have attended the H1-B interview @ U.S.Consulate in Melbourne.

But they returned me 221(g) Green color. Stating that
Further Administrative Process is required. They have taken passports of mine and my wife.

When do they return the passports? Is it represents that petition is approved?

In case if anyone has passed through the same situation or heard anything similar to this. PLease respond.
